Enclosed...
Again a lovely warm sunny day ... Calm almost all day .. It feels like being in prison here in the house ...The fjord wisper to me come,come.. But I am still sick, and I have to be inside the house ...
Snow evaporates now... They are no water from melting snow, the snow just disappears into the air ... At the port is now placed a lockout .. It consists of a very strong rope which is stretched at the entrance to the port ... It prevents icebergs in to enter the port ...
Calm ... In the horizon I can now see the pack ice ... In a few days, perhaps Ammassalik Fjord is filled with pack ice...

Lyrics to Ajajajaa
Ajajajaa
They lived
In peace
For hundreds of years
Ajajajaa
They respected their song deeply.
Later it lived among them in silence,
As the heartbeat of life
Ajajajaa
Alas, their song was silenced by the eastern beliefs
Put out of by a strong wind of change.
The beauty it gave
Its people
Ended.
Their spirit suffocated.
Ajajajaa
It was forgotten for many years,
The people grew weak
Full of despair
Ajajajaa
Longing for their lost identity
They waited for the return of their song.
Wishing to gain strength from it once more
Ajajajaa
It came like a wind from the great mountains
Ending the time of darkness.
Restoring the old song
Returning the heartbeat of the people
Who once again grew strong
Ajajajaa
Now their spirit is set on a journey.
Destined to travel forever.
Ajajajaa

Flood, painting and barbecue
I have had a busy week both at work and with your computer ... Downloaded a new browser .. The computer does not like it and there have been problems until yesterday. Too many programs did not work good enough .. Now the widows is loaded again, and everything works fine....
Tonight we grilled on the terrace ... It has been very nice weather today....
My daughter and I started to paint our rental house ... Great what paint can do ...
The first days of this week it rained and rained... Thursday night broke the ice in the river valley and we had flooding the middle of the village ... Many more pictures tomorrow .. :-)

Holiday :-)
We had a day off from school today ... Nice to be able to relax in the morning ... In the afternoon I sailed out on the fjord ... A wonderful weather ... calm ... and an incredibly beautiful Ammassalik Fjord...
I sailed into the inlet side to look for seals on the winter ice .. They usually suns them selves on the ice in the sunshine....I met Andreas who was in search of seals ... We saw a seal, but was disturbed by helicopter ... rich tourists helliskiing ...
Andreas is a nice old sealer ... Now he serves no money, because of some sick people's attitude to seal hunting ... Yes poverty is spreading in our village ...

The capelins are here
We sailed all day on the fjord ... IDA has caught many capelins on this little fishing rod ... Every year in May-June months the fish swim in huge numbers to Ammassalik Fjord ... Here they put their eggs in the low water near the coast ... The Greenlandic word: "Ammassat" means capelin ... The Fjord and city has been named "Ammassalik" because of the small fish ...
